3.2.4 Holo-somatic Self-consciousness
The conscious subject must account for the mutual reciprocity existing between her and universal truth. On some level she confirms an objectâs reflexive interior mathematical properties as an image (phantasm) or conscious holograph. An unavoidable paradox defines conscious life, that is, âthings are unveiled in my own presence-to-myself: namely, the absolute incommunicability of my own being (as âIâ) and the unlimited communicability of being as such (which is not âused upâ by the fullness of all the worldly existence in which it subsists).â135 Subjective perspicuity and reciprocity among beings is always positive, as it draws upon that inborn goodness that is realized when individual identity and the other is apprehended. To participate in this insight, the conscious observer must overcome egotistical tendenciesâthose conscious manipulations that disavow mutual disclosure of truth. The negation of these âbadâ infinities requires that one attest to the positivity of difference. This process is part of the âhigher, spiritual law of identity, [that] self-affirmation lies in self-negation, whereas according to the lower fleshy law of identity, self-affirmation lies in self-negation.â136 [11] The rational subject can reject Creationâs goodness and move to unreservedly see reality as a prefiguring of Hell. The conscious choice to work against Natureâs telos or necessity (á¼ðá¼ð¾ð ð) without which Aristotle reasons, âA thing cannot live⦠[For] the conditions without which the good cannot be or come to be, or without which we cannot get rid or be freed from evil [âsuch] compulsion is a form of ananke.â137 The egotistical consciousness depends on an anti-creation vision that is blind to the gift of Natureâs causal and emergent forcesâa vision that serves the egoâs Promethean will.
Past theological visions suggest that Hell follows from the results of Luciferâs personal rejection of the Divine. Luciferâs act of defiance determines his entire existence toward an inescapable end. By his disobedience, Lucifer âthe Light Bearerâ isolates âhisâ immaterial identity from the goodness of finite dominion. Further, Lucifer is powerless to create or even reduce his informational ground state to Nothingness. However, âhisâ non-dimensional nature holographically exudes the sense of Hellâs infinite move toward a null state. The freely rewritten non-composite infinite angelic nature source and grounds the anti-creative geography of Hell. In comparison to Hell, the created order exists in creative correspondence with Nothingnessâthe moment of Creation, and this correspondence reveals who without the Divine, non-subsistent relationships necessarily become dissipated. In comparison, truth directs finite testimony to realityâs holographic imaging of Ur-Kenosis.
The distinctions existing between subject and object depend on proposing an actual or virtual âtranscendentâ point that encompasses both parties and reality as a whole. Without that freedom made possible by the Transcendent, a being exists in Hell in a qualifying and quantitatively discontinuous state. Grouping an infinite sequence of numbers in a mathematical set or the phenomenal entity in complex hyper-dimensional spaces gives the postmodern thinker new images for the mystery of the soulâs nature and means of existence in the supernatural realm. Each of these examples has to be explored on its own merit with special reference to human consciousness.
